Enck's Gun Barn

Deserves zero stars.---I purchased an antique gun from Luke, over the phone. In his advertisement, it was said to have a rifled bore. I asked him, both in emails and over the phone, to MAKE SURE it was a rifle. "Oh yeah its rifled, its got a nice bore" is what he told me. I make the transaction, receive the gun, and lo and behold it is a smoothbore. Luke did not even take the time to look in the bore (the only request I made), and then lied to me. I called him immediately upon discovering this, and he said to return the gun and I would be refunded. He had the gun back in his possession 4 days later. After a few weeks passed and I still had not received my refund, I give him a call to check up on things. This guy has the audacity to huff in my ear and tells me he is waiting on the CONSIGNOR to return the money to him, and then he would refund me. I thought to myself, this guy is kidding right? Wrong. It took 6 MONTHS for this guy to return my money. This was only after much prodding and bothering and getting the other owner involved, who happens to be Luke's father. He also seemed to be perfectly fine with extracting the money from the consignor, even though this whole debacle was clearly their fault. Unbelievable. These guys have zero accountability. I would NEVER do business with these people. Not as a buyer OR a consignor. BEWARE! Terrible ethics, terrible attitudes, Luke will not hesitate to lie to you on first contact. They don't want to honor their own policy on returns 'only if the item has been misrepresented'. They thought they could take me for $650 because I'm 1250 miles away. They were wrong. Those two are purebred scumbags
