Over the years, my experiences with Perry's have been inconsistent. Typically, when I've entered the store, I've been greeted by one of the girls at the cash register and I appreciate the no pressure experience when browsing through their over-priced merchandise; however, that's where their public relations end. When I've had conversations with various folks in the shop about purchasing a firearm, there is an aura of arrogance about them. Because I’m active duty military without a NC accent, I get a “you ain’t from around here” vibe from the shop owners. The old lady looks down her nose at non-local customers and she really believes that she knows more than anybody entering the store (her attitude is reminiscent of a certain female democrat currently running for President). I’ve read most of the Perry’s reviews on Google, and the haughtiness of the owner’s responses is mind-blowing. Instead of trying to ensure a repeat/ happy customer, the vast majority of the responses to any criticism of the shop are snide or defensive, which according to a very reliable local source is commonplace for the individuals that own Perry's. Customer service is quickly vanishing in America, and Perry’s is no different.
