My friends and I would come here often to check out their rather impressive inventory and have done business here. Tyler is absolutely fantastic and is a big reason we came here and their gunsmith, Perry is the actual GOAT. My issue today was with the manager, Michelle. I came in ready to buy a gun today and was helped by Tyler. He is absolutely a fantastic guy and he always serves with a smile and good vibe. I was looking at the Smith and Wesson CSXE however online they can be had for $599.99. I asked Tyler if the store price matched (they have it for $649.99) and after talking to his manager, Michelle, he says yes as long as the UPC's match. After figuring out where to find the UPC's for the firearm, they matched perfectly and I'm ready to pay. My wallet is out and ready to go. He goes back to his manager Michelle, and they both come over. She looks at my phone to double check and then goes, "Did you tell him the kicker?" Tyler at this point looks very confused because clearly he does not know what she is talking about. She says that I now have to pay a TRANSFER FEE ($40) if I price match and that it is store policy. I first think that it is a joke because I have never heard of paying a transfer fee for a product they already have. I say that another very very well known GUN STORE in GEORGIA has a $20 transfer fee and my friend says that his place charges him $25. She essentially tells us to go shop there instead and that it's just "store policy" and just WALKS AWAY. I still think it's a joke at this point but I'm confused if I need to pay the transfer fee. Tyler is also very confused. He basically says I think so and at that point I'm in total shock. I have never seen customer service handled like this. We thank Tyler again and leave. I understand store policy but to come at me at the VERY end with it and acting like it's some kind of joke is VERY SHADY and unprofessional. If she would have told Tyler or me that at the very beginning that would be totally okay, but instead she has us go through leaps just to come at the end with the "kicker." Honestly, if she had come at me with something like "Hey, we are a local business and we have to pay rent and other things that online businesses don't have to worry about," and then offered $639.99 I still would have bought it. (Mind you, my wallet was out and ready to buy). As a business owner myself, I understand that smaller stores have higher costs and I'm more than happy to pay a premium to support a gun store I genuinely like. It would have made me want to bring my business there even more with the transparency. Let me make one thing clear, Michelle should NOT be the manager. She knows nothing about customer service. I understand that money needs to be made for the business but this is just flat out shady. Even before this experience, I always thought that he was deservingly manager (his name badge has manager on it, I assume Michelle is the manager above him.). After this I gained some massive respect for him and the owner should reconsider who is in charge. Tyler was clearly upset at what had transpired and that shows that he really does care for the customer. Additionally, something I found odd was that my friend was looking for a 22lr MP5 and she points at an HK AR style gun. Talk about not knowing the customer or not knowing the product. Just something odd I noticed. Feel free to pull up the footage for this. It was when we first walked in. The owner is MORE than welcome to pull up all the footage. 6/17/2025 around 8:20-8:50. I'm the Asian with my tall friend. Tyler is helping us at the used pistol aisle by the dope bolt gun. I will not be back nor will any of my friends or family or their friends or family.
from googleI've had nothing but great experiences with Perry and Tyler, but it pains me to say that other than those two I have not had a good experience. I walked in with a buddy, and we make a final decision on a firearm. Out of curiosity we asked if they price matched, and we were able to get someone to ask and check. Lo and behold they said they would honor a price match, so long that the UPC code matched and it was a reputable gun dealer. My buddy was able to match the UPC with Tyler's help, and was able to find it for a not too crazy difference at Bud's. "Here's the kicker" (Michelle, the manager I presume, said in a "gotcha kind of way"), they mention store policy of paying transfer fees, for a gun that is physically in the store. While the policy is not an issue, as a brick and mortar store does harbor more expenses than a large online retailer, rather it was sprung onto him with false promises of a "price match". Nobody minds paying extra to support a local gun store, but the disrespectful nature of "the kicker" as well as walking away after getting proven wrong screams unprofessionalism. It's sad to see that the people who work the hardest to sell outclass, both morally and sales-wise, the managers that are supposed to mentor and foster growth... Also a case of 9mm for $300 or more is criminal.
